Get Inclusive In the Game (GIIG) Project was just kick started with a training session for sport coaches at ''No Hate Speech in sports'', an event held and sponsored by its namesake organization under the patronage of the European Council. The training session was attended by 42 sports professionals who became 'no hate in sports' ambassadors and trainers in their specific fields, all over Europe.
Following the event, several INFO DAYS took place in Italy, Poland and Slovenia. The aim was to build awareness among youngsters and families about the importance of sport in aiding social inclusion of otherwise alienated people like foreigners (especially female) people with psychological difficulties, rehab cases and so on. Sport can really act a precious inclusive glue.
GIIG website will be soon online and it will be not only an info platform about the project but also a non stop international round table where it will be possible to find out about the best practices in the matter of sports inclusion already adopted by various organizations all over the world.
Moreover, a brand new organization, GIIG Sport for All, is already fully operational.
In addition, there will be open air sports and games days for the entire family that will gather participations by families from various and very different social backgrounds. Furthermore, next October in Frosinone there will be a football tournament, GIIG Open Football For All.
This last event, together with the international conference, is meant to give a meaningful conclusion to the entire project through the actual happening of a really 'inclusive tournament', enriched by the attendance of experts and two full days of joy and feast in the spirit of friendship.
